Jewelry pieces are personal adorments that at often times/always represent our goals, inspiration, devotion or achievements. No One Wears Jewelry for the Sake of Wearing Jewelry.
As you can guess jewelry has encompassed a great portion of my life. As a designer, jewelry has been the interpretation of my inspiration. Jewelry pieces have been companions throughout the phases of my life. They have represented the goal of many of my desires and of my accomplishments.
When I began in the jewelry trade in 1975 one of my first desires was to own a Patek Philippe that I could not afford. I settled for a flat, pearl white Seiko quartz with a thin leather strap. In the mid-seventies it was my one of my first steps to develop an adult sense of style and sophistication. In the eighties I reached a short-lived pinnacle in my life and I acquired a Vacheron-Constantin that was held in awe by myself and those that had enough attention to detail to notice it on my wrist. I tumbled from my economic status and a particular cross, one depicting Christ without a cross rested on my neck. To me it meant that I wanted to bear my own cross and it was inspiring to me as I climbed my way out of the abyss that I had fallen into.
In a matter of years I was back on top of my form producing and selling jewelry collections and pre-owned watches. A number of watches, from Vacherons (my preferred manufacturer) to Cartier watches and diamond studded Rolex "Arabians" adorned my wrist, along with a couple of wedding bands that ended up being melted down. Today my companions include one of my Da Vinci Cuffs "Dum Spiro, Spero"-As Long as I Breathe, I Hope" and a "Vittorio" watch from my collections. This is mine.....What's Your Story?
